This is a position in the Essex County Department of Social Services responsible for providing professional case management services to clients and their families in order to assist them in coping with and resolving economic, emotional, social and environmental problems.
Qualifications:
Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State Registered college or university with a Bachelors degree is required, or an Associates degree and 3 years of experience providing Human Services to the public
Special Requirement: Possession of a valid New York State Drivers license at the time of appointment.
IMPORTANT
This title has been approved without the need to take an exam ending June 30th 2025, as part of the HELPS Program through the NYS Department of Civil Service. Candidates appointed permanently to this title will NOT need to take the Civil Service Exam and will remain in their position even when the HELP Program ends.
